why is my schefflera dropping leaves?

I'm not too sure why it's dropping leaves. This is Jeff who used to work at Zone Music in Cotati in the mid-90's. On the off chance that you are still visiting this website, what are you up to!?!? It would be great to get back in touch after all these years . . .

Schefflera likes:
* bright filtered light or indirect light from fluorescent lights and light colored walls, but will tolerate low light for short periods
* may shed leaves if there is a cold draft on it or heat from a vent
* average humidity
* leaves will also drop if soil is too dry
* allow the top inch or so of dirt to dry out between waterings
* water less and do not feed in winter
You can clean the leaves with a soft, damp cloth.
Personally, I love Schefflera! Good luck.
