I am looking for some nice houseplants...I currently have a Ivy Plant, Rubber Plant, Money Tree, (a miniture tree that I don't know the name of), Devil's Ivy, and an Amaryllis. I have a miniature Palm of some type as well but I don't think it is going to make it no matter what I do after it has lived for over a year it has decided it has had it.
I am looking for some different type of plants..and a great place to buy them on line would be ok if anyone knows of one (I have found I don't like a lot of retail stores watering habits.)
I am not a expert at growing plants....but I have found that I don't kill plants by looking at them like I once thought either so a easy to mid range plant would be nice.
My favorite plants are my Ivy, Money Tree, and my Mini Tree (it was given to me because the store where I shop was going to throw it out ...they thought it was dead...and the garden center manager knew I grew plants so she gave it to me.) I brought it home and took the outer pot out and dumped all the extra water out of it and let the soil dry out in the inner pot. So far it is doing ok it has new leaves at least. So it has become one of my favorites.
I go to garden shops and look at plants but sometimes they overwhelm me because I am afraid I will pick a plant that I can't grow.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hedera Helix (ivy) seem to be a favorite of plant pests such as mealy bugs. Other than that, some easy-to-grow plants include:
* ficus * Hoya (which are lovely) * ponytail palm (very cool) * Spider plant/ Chlorophytum comosum (one of my favorites) * dracaena * philodendron * Schefflera * pothos
Unfortunately, many house plants are also very poisonous, so you should use caution with pets.

Good luck and have fun!
