Hello all...GREGRIO here, and I'm new. I picked up a new plant the other day without a name tag on it...nor were there any folks around to help me identify it. Using PlantCare, I've found a pic that looks close.
SANCHEZIA parvibracteata 'Ellen' looks like my plant...however, my version has bright yellow/green leaves, and some red veins. I'm told it could be caused by the greenhouse supplier feeding it 'iron...???' or something to catch the eye of the buyer. The only other difference I can see from the website pic, is at the ends of the veins on my plant...they split at the outside ends into a 'Y'.
...this guy sound famiiar to any one? Is it probably something other than a bright-golden-herringbone? My objective here is to feed it (whatever) to maintain the bright yellow/green leaf color. I've head it will go away now that its out of the greenhouse.
Thanks in advance, I'll watch for a reply Greg
