I found this growing in my garden when it had only some tiny purple flowers. I put it in water and it grew roots, then put it in a pot and it's continued to grow on my deck, now putting out some berry-like green round things. I did see another similar plant growing outside and the berries turn red. Anyone know what this might be and if I can keep it as a houseplant through the winter? Oh, and toxicity info would be very welcome as I have an inquisitive grandson and a dog, or I'll do my own research if I can just get a name. Thanks for any help!

Looks like some species of Nightshade. While very beauitful, it's berries, stalk and leaves are toxic.
