My best friend received a Spanish lavender plantfor Mother's day and she set it on her deck and I think it was exposed to too much sun. The stems seem very dry and the leaves are very wilted. The blooms on the top of the plant are very brown. I think she has overwatered it to try and bring it back to it's orginal beauty. Can you suggest anything she should do to help restore this plant? I suggested repotting to help the roots recover because it seems to be crowded in the pot now.

ANy suggestions?

the brown on the top of the spanish lavander is most likely the old blooms. What I would recommend would be to trim off the top 1/3 of the plant where the old blooms are. keep it watered and fertilize it and it should show new growth within 2-3 weeks.
