Hi I would like to identify this plant. I rescued it from where I worked 4-5 years ago. It was in a terrible state of neglect and had been dumped under the stairs and seemingly forgotten about. I have never been too bothered about knowing what it was until now. It has just produced its first flower in all the time I have had it so I would now like to put a name to it. The leaves are spikey and can really hurt if you catch them. Any ideas as to what it is will be appreciated. Also if anyone can advise on how to upload pictures to the post. Many thanks Jan http://www.4shared.com/file/63080103/ec6e123/Image030.htmlhttp://www.4shared.com/file/63080191/310a3b46/Image033.html

It is most often called a Angel Tears, or a Queen's Tears. It is in the Bromeliad family with the latin name of Billbergia nutans
