Hi, I am asking has anyone ever had a amarillas flower grow outside as a plant. I live in northeastern wyoming. I PLANTED IT OUTSIDE IN may and it has two blooms and one bloomed today. We have an average of about three months growing season. Average summer temps 75 ish and evenings in the 50's. Is this a normal thing for this plant to do? I have never seen this plant outside before in this climate. Any ideas from anyone?
Thanks

Actually it is recommended to place the bulb outside during the spring/summer, but it does need to be brought inside before the threat of frost. To read more about the care of a amaryllis, go to the following link: http://www.earlmay.com/pamphlets/pdfdocs/905190_amaryllis.pdf
