hello all! my neighbor gave me a cutting of this & i successfully rooted & planted it in the ground about 2 mos ago. i'm in austin, tx (zone 8, i believe). i've gone 3 days w/o watering it & it seems to do just fine. no flowers that i've observed & it hasn't gone thru a winter yet. i think it's pretty--thanks for the help! ~~i can't figure out how to attach the image. any tips?~~**THANKS FELLOW FORUM-ER! in order to post a picture, you have to load it on a fil sharing host like flickr and link to the pictures there.

It appears to be a Cordyline fruiticosa tricolor. For more info go to

I think that’s a variegated Euphorbia tithymaloides, also called the devil’s backbone.

I had never seen that plant before but after researching more about it, it does appear to be very similiar to what the user posted. Here is a link to an image of the plant: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/15070/
