Thank you so much, Indian. My husband almost pulled it out thinking it was a weed. It grew in a pot of catcus that we bought. It is really neat and has grown quite a bit this year. My trunk looks so much smoother that the ones in the pictures.

Your plant seems still young. As it grows older, the trunk becomes fatter and uneven especially at the spots from where the leaves drop off.It will be ugly, yet beautiful!:) In course of time you'll also see nice clusters of tiny red blooms. Good luck, Lpit180!
