Hi Everyone,

My simple question is should one fertilize various indoor house plants throughout the year or only during the summer season. Since I live in Canada, our winters without strong sun are approximately 7 months. The plant food containers I buy say to use during the season.

Can anyone give sound advise?

Thanks

In general, don't fertilize houseplants in the wintertime since the seasons are shorter and it will have a lot less sunlight.

I live not far from Toronto and fertilize right up until we have our first frost but none throughout the winter. Welcome to the forums btw.
