HELP.....need container gardeners who have had experience with container grown Dipladenias and Tropical Bleeding Heart Vines.

I'm in zone 7...Arkansas. We had two nights of low temps, 30 degrees. I moved my Dipladenias and Bleeding Heart Vines into my insulated (freeze proof) well house which has one small north window. I love these plants. I want to save them and have them perform for me again next spring. What should I do....prune them back?....if so, how much?.....move them in and out of their shelter depending on the weather?....leave them alone and pray?.....

Has anyone out there grown these plants in containers and had experience in wintering them over?

I would recommend moving them inside where it won't freeze. I wouldn't trim it back until spring, but if there is signifigant light and warm temp, it should keep growing. If not, if it is cool, then it will simply go dormant amd start all over again come spring.
