Hi folks, Looking for some help with a dumb cane. This plant stays out side most of the spring & summer and does very well. This fall when brought inside for the winter it started to develop brown spots on all of it's leaves, including new shoots coming out. Eventually, the leaves turn all brown and die. There are no critters visible, at least to me. This leads me to believe there is something in the soil causing this problem. Can someone please advise. Thankks Tim

If the tips are turning brown it most likely isn't enough water. Make sure the plant keeps watered and mist ocassionally. Most likey the furnace, especially if it is gas heat has very low humidity and will dry out the plant more quickly. Also, make sure it is away from drafts of heat ducts and cold drafts from the doors and windows.
