I have recently bought several carnivorous plants (Venus fly trap, pitcher plant, octopus plant) and am looking to put them together in a terrarium. What is the best way to set up a terrarium?

When creating a terrarium for such plants as Venus fly trap, pitcher plant, octopus plant. Most of the time people use such things as aquarium. If you use more upright aquariums you can create vetrical tiers at different elevations so the bigger plants can hang down. When planting the plants in the terrarium, use a soil that is light so the plant can grow easily but will retain water, If the soil is too light, simple add some soil moist or soil retention composition to help it hold water better. Put a cover over the terrarium but make sure it has a small opening for venelation and let excess heat escape. In the summer time, make sure you watch the temperatures so that it doesn't get too hot. During the summer time, two hours in the sun may be sufficient. If your plants wilt, then they need to come out of the sun sooner. In the winter time, it is just the opposite. If you live in a very cold environment, you need to move the plants away from windows and keep covered at night to help keep head and moisture in the terrarium. Do keep in mind that many plants such as the Venus' Flytrap do experience a period of dormantcy period in the winter, from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day. So that means thet plants need fewer hours of daylight and slightly cooler temperatures during that time.
