I recently recieved as gift, a tall skinny green bamboo looking tree with a few long leaves growing on it shaped with pink tips and outline.very firm in shape, i would like to know how to care for it.

Although it is difficult to identify the plant from mere description, I think what you have could be a Dracaena, most probably Dracaena marginata. Do confirm it from PlantCare Encyclopedia. Good luck!

yeah i would have to agree with that
I'm a highschool student, FFA member and officer, i have horticulture twice a day, and manage my school green house and i love it. I'm most likely going to college also for hort.
