I have a plant that is approximately 40 years old and I'm not sure what it is. It came in a planter that my dad received when he broke his leg back in the 1960s. It has a tree like base, then the top branches out into stems. Right now it has 10 stems with some new ones coming. Each stem grows to about 15 inches long about has about 5 leaves on it. The leaves are oblong in size. After a while the leaves and stems fall off which makes up the base of the plant. The bottom of the base is now approx 1" around. The color of the base is brown at the bottom and fades into green at the top close to the stems.
