Would like to know why my plant does not bloom. Growing larger every year but no bloom.

To be sure of getting flowers you need to give it a few weeks of long, uninterrupted dark periods - 13 hours a night under a box if you can. The darkness must not be broken even by a flash of light. This is the sure way. The plant may get tired of being green on its own and flower from time to time, but the nurseries never take a chance on this happening. Derek

Thanks very much for your feeback on my Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana Entretien. It's a very pretty plant even green but has always frustrated me as to why it never bloomed again after i bought it. I will take your advice and give it a try.

When I first got my plant as a gift about a year ago, it was full of flowers. As the flowers died I cut them back. Now it hasn't had a flower for months. The leaves are beautiful and keep getting more, but I miss the beautiful flowers. I fertilize it occasionally, what else can I do to get the flowers back?

I am having the same issue. I bought the plant as a gift - it wasn't more than 7" tall, full of beautiful yellow flowers. it has been 2 years since it's flowered last - but has grown so much. the stems have grown over and down the sides of the pot and has new leaves sprouting from the base of the stems (so the stem is about 1/2 in in diameter with multiple more stems sprouting from the larger "root"). would cutting back some of the leaves help to keep the plant at the healthier smaller under 10" size? or would this hurt it's flowering potential? thanks!
