I have several Aloe Vera plants, all in various sizes and ages but there are two pots of Aloes that keep having leaves liquefy from the base of the plant up. It's always the largest one on the bottom. These plants have all gotten new dirt (just fr succulents), new pots, some bug spray and have been allowed to dry completely out before watering. I've done the alcohol/water spray, soap, fungus soap. In summer when they go out it still happens, during the winter no change. They put out babies and do fine for a while, then they start to liquefy again and I have completely lost one plant already. They get plenty of indirect sunlight and are not under a heater vent in the house, the cat doesn't pee on them and they get food in the summer when they are outside. All the others are healthy and growing well. Can someone please tell me what may be wrong? Disease? Insect? Fungus? What do I do? I have over 50 potted plants that I have had for years, and take very good care of them, these two Aloes are the only ones struck by this and I am stumped.
