Can anyone identify this plant. It reminds me of a castor oil plant or a fatsia japonica but the stem is different. It has been growing outside in the garden in Devon. It is about 18 inches high with a white fleshy stem that has grey speckles along it's length. The leaves are bright green, branching and wide and have usually 5 sections, smooth and not hairy. There is no smell about the plant. It reminds me of some kind of lily but as yet there are no flowers visible. It grows from a bulb like corm.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
