Hello,
I'm new to this forum.

I have a BoP plant, which is about 5 foot tall, have been growing in from a seed for 5 years now. It hasn't flowered yet, but I'm told it will in the next year or two.

My question is it has been in a wide but shallow pot for some time now 2 years.
Is it better to leave it in a wide pot or maybe a deeper pot. I don't want to start messing about with it and kill it off, especially after 5 years worth of looking after it.

Any ideas or tips on repotting???

Thank you.

Shallow pot is fine; don't meddle with it just yet until it flowers. You can transplant the pups, when they come up, into a deeper container. I am also waiting for my BoP to flower -- it's 4 years old and in the ground. Best of luck to us!
