Hi. I have a ponytail palm that i feel isnt doing too well. i live in a cooler climate, max temps durring the summer are mid 70's, my house is a dongen, so it isnt provided much light, and i know i have it on the wrong type of soil (its currently in mirical grow potting mix).
the issues im having is that my plant is no longer bushy and doesnt seem happy. im going to get it new soil asap (a cactus mix i assume) and hope that helps.
my questions are:
**i've read on a few web sites that people keep them outside but when i put mine out it burned, what would be a good compromise? i dont really have a window for it to go in, would maybe putting it in the shade outside durring the summer work? what are your experiences?
**ive read a few different opinions about watering; one website said that althought its a succulent, water it generously. another site said they can go for long periods of time without water.
thank you for any help you can give. :)
