what type of plant is this???? Options

my mom gave me some cuttings off of her plant (so mine is pretty sad looking and doesn't seem to be growing). She says it is called a Monkey Plant but everything I've seen on line doesn't match it.
Plant description
it looks like a small leafed fern but also has furry legs that eventually intertwine with eachother.. the fur is white/light gray with the twig being a darker color. It does not flower or have any smell. My moms plant is over 100 years old and is not big - the plant doesn't grow much taller than about a foot and it spreads about two to three feet.

Hmm, interesting. The picture isn't showing, though. If we could see a picture, that would help. :)

Although saying that, have you checked out 'araucaria'? It's a tree, with the common name Monkey Puzzle. Well, one of the types has!
