I've had this plant for years and I'm thinking it looks like a short mother in laws tongue, but don't really know what it's called. It produces babies, but I haven't separated them in a while because I think the one I did take off died. If anyone knows what it's called, that would be great! Thanks! http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o204/Breeanabanana/IMG_0054.jpg

I've had one like this for several years, and believe it to be Sansevieria "Trifasciata Hahnii", a compact "bird's nest", a variety of what is sometimes called mother-in-laws tongue or snake plant. Mine has tolerated a very wide range of conditions, including underwatering, but can't stand to be overwatered. Looks like yours may need a little tlc, maybe a tad more water. Likes bright light, but not direct light. You can find lots more info about them online in searching by "birds nest sansevieria.

Check out this site for general growing info. It is a Sansevaria Genus, the species could be one of the trifasciata species cultivars , anyway this site is a info, site on growing Sansevaria . It may be a help.
