Truth be told about flowers and the feelings they inspire can be summed up in the most primeval way. What is a flower but the origin of desire known by all of nature. Scene the sexually suppressed times of the Victorian period the flower as been the symbol of ecstasy, lust and desire hence the giving of flowers on valentines or in entament dating encounters. This can be seen in most if not all the greatest art of our known civilization, after all if one can not speak of the desire one can use symbolization to induce endowindow and make it blatantly obvious. You don't have to go fare or look very hard to see this in writing, art or movies, take the music anthology from Pink Floyd the Wall and the scenes were the orchid flower form Masdevallia was used in reference to the longing for the denied physical attributes of the wife and a mothers protective embrace. This has become less obvious sense the end of the seventies but still remains in the collective conscience and tradition's observed by most of us today.
