Hi! I have no idea what this plant is. I think it is sort of succulent? I don't know what i'm talking about - my sister won it at a marathon and wasn't told what it was. I need to get an idea of what it is so I can find out a bit about it, and take better care of it. I know nothing about plants. Here are 2 pictures... plant:  flower(s)and buds:

Begonia. This is normally considered an annual for outdoor plantings; I have grown these inside in pots, under conditions similar to a violet. They will bloom continually for a few years. Trim back and water when dry.
