I already posted in the other thread on this topic but I'll just copy and paste my answer into this one as well.
Here ya go:
I looked up your plant in one of my houseplant encyclopaedias and I found one that looks like yours called a "fittonia verschaffeltii argyroneura". It says some common names for it are "painted net leaf" and "nerve plant".
Here's some pictures of it:
http://www.gardenseeker.com/indoor-plants/images/Fittonia_verschaffeltii_Argyroneura_8550.JPGhttp://grow.ars-informatica.ca/images/nerve_plant.jpgAccording to my book, it says that the plant grows in the tropical forests of Columbia and Peru where it covers the forest floor. It is a creeping plant. It needs high humidity and the temperature in the house should never drop below 15 degrees C (59 degrees F) in both summer and winter. Water moderately in winter and liberally in summer. Put it in a light spot (possibly near a east or north facing window) but make sure not to put it in direct sunlight. Plant in standard all-purpose houseplant soil. Repot the plant when you see roots extending out of the drainage holes of the pot. It also says to feed the plant monthly with 10-10-10 fertilizer.

(I apologize if I'm not supposed to post direct links to other sites. If this is the case, I'll certainly take them down. I'm new here, so be nice ;])
