I have a 55gal fish tank that I want to set up for plants. I have a couple questions to help me get started with it.
I see I should put a mixture of gravel and charcol on the bottom 1st.
How fine or how large should the gravel be?
Is the charcol the same type of stuff you get for aqarium filters or is there a certain type I should use?
What ratio gravel/charco should I do?
What type of soil should I use and how deep should I go with it?
Should I use a grow light?
I have a book the lists the types of plants I should plant but its kinda vague on the other stuff.


Any suggestion would be appricieated.
