I've dug up my banana plants and brought them in for the winter since last winter nearly killed them both. However, it appears they are dying inside too. The leaves first turn yellow then brown. They are in a southern light exposure. Are they just in shock from the move or have I done something else to cause them to die?
Thank you, Kathy

Well i know that they do die back during winter, but regardless they need lots of sun and a decent amount of humidity too. Its very hard to mimic a tropical enviroment indoors. And you really want to expose them to bright light. Because they are trees it probably misses being in the ground as well because they need root freedom to encourage growth.

Mist regularly, Water once or twice a week during winter, in summer almost everyday, the winter/fall outdoors isn't a great idea, its better to bring them inside during the first signs of fall, keep them warm and in a southern facing window or east or west. Heavy feeding during summer.
