I got a very nice yucca cane, about a 18" sapling with 3 major blooms of leaves. It's been doing well in medium filtered light and suddenly this weekend one of the 3 stalks just went very limp and is a little blackish at the central base where new leaves sprout from. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to fix it? I don't want to lose any of the growth, all 3 are about 5" tall now and getting to be solid branches. Any care tips about this would be greatly appreciated! :)

Mike,

I don't know what you mean by "medium filtered" light, but my educated guess is that it is not enough. Yuccas require lots of very bright indirect light at a minimum and really should have at least a couple of hours of direct sun each day.

When light is inadequate, growth slows so it is very easy to keep the soil too moist. I suspect root rot, particularly if you made the all to common mistake of repotting.
