All,
I have had this plant for 3 or 4 years now. I am asking for identification now because this year it is growing what I can only classify as pods. Almost similar to milkweed but with only seeds. I just want to make sure I know what this plant is because I have animals and I want to make sure these seeds are not poisonous to them. The leaves are shiny and the stalks grow and then die off and new ones grow. Thank you!

This is Zamioculcas zamiifolia, and what you're seeing are no pods but the flowers - flowers in the Araceae (Arum family) look like that.
If you're concerned about it being poisonous, well - the bad news is that pretty much all the plants in the Arum family are poisonous, and some pretty strongly, too. The good news is, if none of your animals have tried to eat the plant/gotten sick from it before now, I don't think they'd start now just because it's flowering. :)

Thank you for the info! No none of my pets ever bother it nor does it seem to bother them. Have a great day!
