I have two plants in my garden I can't identify. One I suspect is poison ivy and other I have no idea. The leafy green plant does not smell in any way so I ruled out skunk cabbage. Any one have any idea? I'm new to this board so please bear with me while I attempt to link or add an image Mystery plant on my Flickr

Has either bloomed? The taller one may be either Penstemon or Liatris

Neither have bloomed. I pulled up the tall plant yesterday ( I see it growing in ditches all over Delaware) and searched some more sites on the other plant, to no avail.
The shorter plant is growing all over the garden in groups. The leaves are light green and shiny, though you can't really see that in the pic. The edges are serrated and it almost has a lettuce-peppery smell to it ( i know I said it didnt smell before but i checked again). The leaves are growing from a main stalk and not really branching out. I will get some more pictures & video of it today, in different areas of the garden. Also my garden is a pretty damp place...not sure if that tidbit is of any help.
Thanks for helping me, btw. It's equal parts frustrating & fun to not know what's growing in your garden. I bought a mixed seed packet in the spring, the type you see in discount stores for a buck. The packaging states '' COULD contain these seeds:"- and goes on to list about 20 or more plants. I've since lost the box and am clueless. Very glad I found this forum during my search.

Project Runway box set is one of the most amazaing shows i have got it to, its a cross among Cougar Town box set, Modern Family dvd series and Rescue Me dvd series. Trust me if you watch one of them you will be hooked.

The "tallmysteryplant" is either a lilly, or just a weed. But if it blooms a large yellow or orange flower, its a lilly.
