I have a very common house plant that has long, thin, flat blade leaves. The blades range from 6-12" long. It is a medium green and is starting to send out "runners", long, thin "poles" that have clusters of new growth at and near the end. What do I do to make more plants out of these clusters? I have been told that I just need to snip them off and put them in water, but I do not know where to snip and what kind of water to put them. Can someone point me to a youtube or some other site's video presentation on how to do this? Also, once they are snipped and placed in water, should the water they are started in have any kinds of nutrients?

Welcome to the forums. If you post a picture of it, it would help greatly. To add a picture simple load the image to a free hosting site and use the following: [*img]http://Link[*/img]. Note, remove the * to make it work.

Here are the three kinds of house plants I have. I am looking to grow them all into a small household jungle. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
