Hi! I am new here, I just bought a small palm, I think. The lady said it was, and I looked up pictures, and most of them looked like it, anyway, I watered it, and it is in front of the window at the moment, the excess water is in the saucer, so, how often should I water it? And how do I take care of him?

PS, I heard that if you name it love it and take care of him, he will thrive, and if you take care of him and swear and hate him, he will die, so, how do I take care of him, and what should I name him? Sorry for the second question. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Hi,

With palms, it is important to make sure that they are not over-watered, they do not sit in their water, and that they get enough light.

Any other questions?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I have another topic about it and it has a picture inclued called Walmart Plant (pic included), I have him on a little shelf in front of a window, so he has as much light as possible, but about the water, what do you mean they can't sit in their water, all the excess water is in the saucer, is that ok? and when do I water him again and how to be sure when I do water him that I am not OVER watering him. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On your other post, the plant is a small palm. If the excess water in the saucer is in contact with the soil in the pot then that could cause the roots to rot.

Now, the water in the saucer is gone, when do I water him again?

You should only wanter the palm when you can stick your finger in the soil and have it feel dry.
