Curly Leaves - Tree like Stem Options

I have this plant that was mislabeled when I bought it. It has curly leaves and the stem of the plant is somewhat like a tree trunk (no bark but woody in appearance). The plant seems to be very slow growing but remains healthy in appearance.

Anyone know what it is?
