I'm new to the plant hobby and was wondering what everyones thoughts were about aqua globes. I know they do what they say they do. I bought one yesterday and it seems to be adding water slowly at a steady pace but would I have any problems with root rot? Any help is had. Thanks, Spencer

I don't like these guys, every time I use them they either A. get clogged with soil and don't release any water, or B. release all of the water all at once.

So far I have refiled my globe once. Plant is doing well. You were right about dirt getting stuck. So I had to rinse it out which is somewhat of a pain given the small end but still took only a minute or two. I'll keep you guys up to date on the progress.

I do not see the use in Aqua Globes, it would be easier to just water them, and may I ask, is that a small palm plant? :)

Dear Spencer, I myself do not use agua globes, I have an outdoor potted garden with more than one plant in each pot. I grap the hose and just soak them, that usually lasts a day or two until I do it again. It is much easier and you know that your plant is hydrated. If you would rather want your potted plant inside, it matters. If you are a very busy man and never have time for pets ( plants are just like pets, except they don't shed on your carpet), then you probably should use an aqua globe. I make myself busy by taking care of my plants, it is my priorite, not just something to do on the side. Good Luck
