Hi,

can you please help? My braided pachira 48" tall seems very sick!
It was full and green (healthy) then the leaves got light green and weak and have all fell off the stems, too all that is left is the actual braided stock (and a few leaves that have sproutted at the base of the plants. which are turning yellow) the stocks seemed very moist even at the top. My three year old may have over watered it. Can it be saved? Will it grow new leaves?
please email I don't want to lose the plant.

thx :)

Caryl, in nature these plants go dormant, so your plant may just be responding to its hormones. I have never grown one, so I can't speak from experience, but give it just a very little water now for a while, and see if new leaves form when the season changes again. Tie a nice ribbon on the top if the stump looks too weird. Derek
