if u keep your prayer plant to near the heaters or in direct sunlight the leaves will dry up and/or get brown spots on them,2-3 feet away from a window is best and u could try misting it with water 1-2 times a week...i hope this helps

I have a house plant that my mother-in-law called a slatter. The plant has big leaves almost like the elephant plant. About a month ago it came up with a knot on a steam it turned into a bloom like a prayer plant, it now has 3 more of these bulbs up they are on a stem like the leaves come out on. It now has another bloom on the stem. Is this a slatter or what is the name of this plant? I would like to know the real name of this plant.Thank you for any answer I get back.
