I've had (5) shoots in a tall glass vase w/glass marbles for over 1 year. Recently, (2) shoots have turned white. I've removed the white shoots and put them in a separate container.

Should I discard the white shoots, or will they produce new leaves?
What sort of exposure & watering needs do bamboo shoots usually require?
