About two months ago I bought two ivy plants for my apartment. Both are quite long and beautiful. It seemed as though both were doing well. But now I find that one has something that looks like a fungas growing on it . It looks almost like a large cobweb covering the top of the plant. And i've noticed the plant is starting to die as well as change colors. Its gone from a beautiful green to a greyish color. I hope its possible to save my plant. Because its being destroyed right before my eyes. Can you tell me what I should do to save it.

The cobweb is probably just that - webs spun by spidermites that are sucking all the juice out of your plant. If you can dip the whole aboveground part of the plant in soapy water about once a wekk for three weeks you may be able to kill them, but it sounds as though your plant may be too far gone. Good luck. Derek

Right know I have another ivy plant hanging right next to the infested plant. Should I move this plant away from the other.Im thinking it might become infested as well.In your honest opinion would you just get rid of the sick plant. Could there be any chance of saving it.

Treat ALL your plants whether you throw the one away or not. If one has red spider, they all do.
I think it is worth giving the sick one a shot at recovering, but I am too sentimental about plants, I know. If this were in a commercial greenhouse it would have been out the door and into the fire long ago! Derek
