Hello, my name is LeeAnn. I love plants and I have 3 in my office at work. Here lately I have knats flying around my office. I know that they are coming from my plants because when I water them the knats start to swarm. I keep killing knats and for every one that I kill I think 2 come back! I wanted to try spraying some Raid in my office and leave my door closed all night but I don't want to hurt my plants. I was wondering if you had any ideas on getting rid of these flying critters and how to keep them out of my office! Thanks for your time it means a lot.
Sincerely, LeeAnn

Too much water and moist soil cause gnats, sometimes water and a little bit of dishwashing solution will get rid of them.

Depending on the size of your plants; the type of plastic wrap that a dress or suit comes back from the dry cleaners works well; put your plant in the bag and tie it at the top so that there is no air getting to the plant. Leave it for a day or two, the gnats will suffocate. Also, try mixing a solution of rubbing alcohol and water and misting the soil.

I had that problem, I used moth crystals.
