Dear Wanda...JUst be careful not to flood your xmas cactus. I have found that watering once every 2 weeks is usually sufficient unless your is in a small pot. When not in bloom and if it is summer, mine vacation on my porch out of the sun of course and set bloom again when I bring them in at mid Sept. Of course a weak fertilizer is in order every few months, Carol
