HI,
I just purchased a tillandsia but it was not labled of what species and care of it! It has very thin leaves and have grey scales on it. If anyone can ID it and give me some information on how to care for it and where to pot it would be great!

The grey tillandsias have the furry scales on their foliage. They are also known as Air Plants. These scales take up water from humid air and obtain nutrients from air-borne dust. You must keep the humidity up around these plants. You don't need to pot the grey tillandsia in soil. You can just attach it to a seashell, driftwood, etc. They don't require additional water, but again they do require high humidity and misting. Bright light, but not direct sunlight.

I have mine in some spaghum(Spelling may be wrong)where it is sending of roots and the spaghum moss is sitting on top of a pot filled with smooth aqaium stones, is this alright? Or should i mount it?

I think that would be just fine. Remember lots of humidity.

The center leaves of the plant just started showing a dark purple coloring in the middle of the leaves, do you know why this is happening?

Perhaps it is going to flower. It is in the Bromeliad family.
