Can I leave my ponsietta outside? Will direct sunlight hurt it?

You don't say where you live or what your climate is like, but I had a poinsettia that survived in my home until spring last year so I planted it in my garden. It thrived in full sun and may have lived through this holiday as well but I failed to bring it back inside before our first freeze. (The plant will produce no blooms while it is outdoors, but it will bloom again if you keep it in a dark place for approximately 13 weeks.)

What about planting a Ponsietta outside if you live in Central Florida? Will it still require darkness to rebloom?

My ponsietta plant has lost most of it's leaves. Has just a few at the top and the red bloom. I live in atlanta, ga. It was a big plant about two feet tall. What should I do to save it?

I bought several ponsietta plants over the holidays. Some of them are still doing very well. How can I keep them from dying? They are still in the original planters. I have been told to change them to bigger planters, but what do I do afterwards to keep them alive.
Thanks for your help,
Elsa Dominguez

I am seeking an answer to the same question, did you get any information? I would appreciate if you would share?
