I have an bird of paradise plant as a houseplant. It has a problem with ants in the soil. How do I get rid of these

Go to your local nursery such as a Home Depot and look for something you can drench the soil with. Follow instructions on the container.

Someone told me that if you spray them lightly with weak coffee (NO milk & sugar!), it drives the ants off.
I have not tried it so cannot tell you if it works.
