My grandmother gave me clippings from her christmas cactus. I am not sure how long it will take for them to root or do I just plant them in soil? I do not have any of the soil from the original plant.

Thank You

You can use any well draining soil mix like cactus soil or reg soil mixed with some gritty sand or Perlite (helps drainage) Rooting can be done in small pot(s) of soil or water and can take anywhere from a couple weeks or more to start to see the little roots. Put your Christmas cuttings in indirect light.

Susan,

Thank you for the prompt reply. I moved my clippings to indirect
light and will try planting them soon.
