Hey guys,

I cut off one of my Bamboo stalks just below a joint and placed it in water but its not growing any new roots.
I was just wondering, how do you reproduce your lucky bamboo. I have three stalks and I wish to have more. Is there a more complex procedure to have them reproduce?

Thanks for any help

Cameron, there shouldn't be a problem in getting them to root, in spite of your recent bad experience, the problem comes that when they root they will start to grow out into their normal, untortured form. Look up Dracaena sanderiana to see what they look like - handsome plants for the house or the subtropical garden, but not at all like what you want. I would suggest simply paying the price if you want some more like the originals. Derek
