hello, I have quite a silly qeustion, and I'm hoping that you could help me out with it. You have a wonderful website that is very helpful, and I came here seeking care instructions for my new houseplant, which isn't fairing very well-- however, I am at a loss as to what it's called. It stands about three feet tall with three thin, woodlike stalks. Its leaves are oval but pointed on the ends, being three inches wide and ten inches long, and varying in color according to thier age: the oldest are black with the stem and veins appearing brilliant red, while the newest are lime green with pale yellow veins and stem. The nodes of the leaves are staggered around each stalk, making a pattern of four leaves in a circle. Perhaps you could help me-- if not with the name of this plant, then perhaps with some idea as to its origin? The place that I purchased it at could not tell me its name, simply that it did not require much water and needed to be kept from 60-75 degrees. Any hints that you could give me would be much appreciated! Thankyou very much for taking the time to reply to me.
sincerely,
Sarah S.

Sounds like it could be a rubber plant. find a photo online and see if it's a match.
