I bought 2 yucca plants (trees?) today, and while I was picking them out, I noticed a bunch or a "pod" of leaves,(from the trunk) had fallen off, the leaves are all healthy, and I took that bunch home too, in hopes that I can root it.
My question is how would I go about that? I've searched the internet and I can't find the info I'm looking for.
I'm new to yuccas, as I've only ever had spider plants and pothos as house plants before today...any advise on how to root this 'bunch' of leaves that fell from the yucca?
By the way, I just love the look and texture of the yuccas!
Thank you in advance, Wendy

If the leaves are held together at the base by a little stem, no matter how small, you should be able to root it. All you do is push it into a pot of moist but not wet soil and wait patiently. This is how the nurseries root the plants, but you may have a problem with rot if the stem is very green and soft. Worth a try, though. derek
