My husband and I had 2 peace Lily's at our wedding on April 9 2005 that were doing great when we moved them home. But now we had some really hot weather 80 to 85 in the house and the central air conditioning was not working.
The central air is fixed and now they are dying. The leaves are yellowing, drooping over and the flowers are just drooping and not flowering. Is there anything that I can do to help them before it is too late?
We have the house set at 72 degrees.

I have other peace Lily's that have not been effected by the change at all but these are about 1/3 the size smaller?

Thanks,

Jodi Larson

Jodi, if you peace lilies are big, the chances are that the pots are very full of roots, and that they are not getting as much water as you think they are. Try setting each pot in a bucket of water until the soil is completley wet, then drain them and see if they pick up. If so, you will know that they need a very thorough drenching when you water, and can then go without for a time until you water heavily again. Don't do any fertilzing until they are growing strongly. Derek
