we just re-potted several plants here in our office and have become infested with gnats. We are sure it's because of the cheap potting soil we purchased. Is there any spray or liquid insect killer we can get that won't harm the plants?

Please go to the 'Search" and enter fungus gnats to see a lot of solutions. Above all, let the surface of the soil dry bewteen waterings - that is where the young ones live and feed on the fungus and algae that live there. Derek

Regarding fungus gnats, my house palm has them and I don't know how to get rid of them. I have a bad habit of not watering frequently enough, so my soil has been very very dry at times, and still the gnats linger. Help!?

The dry soil should have solved your problem, but please go to the 'Search' section where there are a lot of very ingenious suggestions. (Try gnats, fungus gnats etc ...) Derek
