HI,

I was wondering how you care for your corn plant. Apparantly you are doing it right if you have had it for 15 years. I have one and I wonder sometimes if I am caring for it properly. Actually, the only issue I have with it is the leaves turning brown starting at the tips and working it's way down the leaf. It has only happened to maybe 2 or 3 leaves. I water when the top inch or so of soil is dry and I water with distilled water. It gets indirect light from a window across the room. How exactly do you care for yours?

Thanks,
Christa

P.S. I'm not certain, but I think the flowers on your plant are not uncommon for a mature corn plant that has had proper care. You may keep the flowers if you like, or you may cut them off if you don't particularly like the smell. I have seen your question asked on this board before. You can search old questions and answers on corn plants and read the answers if you like.
